eSensor® Application Overview

The unique electrochemical detection technology utilized by the eSensor platform is a highly sensitive and accurate method for the detection of to detect nucleic acids on a microarray.

For In Vitro Diagnostic Use

Pharmacogenetics

Warfarin Sensitivity Test - The eSensor Warfarin Sensitivity Test is an in vitro diagnostic for the detection and genotyping of the *2 and *3 alleles of the cytochrome P450 (CYP450) 2C9 gene locus and the Vitamin K expoxide reductase C1 (VKORC1) gene promoter polymorphism (-1639G>A) from genomic DNA extracted from whole blood, as an aid in the identification of patients at risk for increased warfarin sensitivity.

Genetics

Cystic Fibrosis - The eSensor Cystic Fibrosis Carrier Detection System is a qualitative test to be used for identification of cystic fibrosis carriers among adults of reproductive age.  It is a qualitative genotyping assay that simultaneously detects mutations recommended by the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG, 2004) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG, 2005)
