Purpose of the Position:

This position is primarily responsible for various facility and equipment maintenance and monitoring activities.  The position will also assist QA in implementing the calibration program and assisting R&D in maintaining laboratory supplies.

 

Essential Duties and Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for various maintenance activities as described in company procedures, including moping laboratory floors, maintaining HEPA filtered areas, maintaining freezers and refrigerators.
  • Perform daily temperature monitoring of all refrigerators, freezers and incubators.
  • Assure pest control measures are implemented as described in company procedures.
  • Maintain deionized water system.
  • Order and stock general laboratory and facility supplies.
  • Assist QA in implementing the company calibration program by performing calibration checks on equipment or by assuring equipment is sent to outside calibration contractors on time.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving activities on an occasional, as needed, basis.
  • Any other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:         None


Qualifications: 

  • Experience in performing the above responsibilities is required, preferably a medical products company.
  • Experience in detailed record keeping is required.

Education and Experience:
Minimum: High School degree required.

 

Language Skills:  Basic skills in writing, and communicating in the English language. 

 

Mathematical Skills:  Basic mathematical skills required.

 

Reasoning Ability:  Good fundamental problem solving, judgment and decision making skills.

 

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:  None required

This position will involve a combination of office and biotechnology laboratory environments.
