Appointment of Director - 14 February 2007
Osmetech, the fast developing international molecular diagnostics business today announces that Bruce Allen Huebner, President of Osmetech’s Molecular Diagnostics Division has been appointed as executive director. Mr. Huebner, aged 56, joined the Group in May 2005 just prior to the acquisition of Clinical Micro Sensors, Inc. from Motorola Inc.
Bruce has over 33 years of sales, marketing and management experience in the healthcare industry with significant experience in the molecular diagnostics and infectious diseases market sectors. Most recently he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Nanogen, Inc, a nanotechnology micro-array company operating in similar markets to Osmetech. Prior to that Bruce was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Gen-Probe Incorporated, a molecular diagnostics company with a strong market position in infectious diseases, having previously been Vice President of Marketing and Sales.

Bruce Huebner holds performance related long term incentive plan awards over 1,318,049 ordinary shares at 0.10p per share, granted on 2 September 2005 and 2,231,038 ordinary shares at 0.10p per share, granted on 30 January 2007.
Bruce Huebner does not hold any current directorships or partnerships. In the last five years he has been an officer of Nanogen, Inc, Gen-Probe Incorporated and a partner in LynxCom Partners LLC. There is no further information to disclose in respect of Mr Huebner under paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 to the AIM rules.
