Disclosure of Significant Shareholdings

Osmetech PLC (“Osmetech” or “the Company”) (AIM:OMH) announces that it was notified between 23 December 2008 and 2 January 2009 of the following changes in shareholdings of ordinary 0.1p shares pursuant to the placing announced on 22 December 2008:

 

  1. Efficacy Capital Ltd has increased its shareholding in Osmetech from 125,822,641 to 291,457,742 shares, representing 32.69% of the Company’s issued share capital. The shareholding is held in two entities:
    • Efficacy Biotech Master Fund which holds 288,487,742 shares representing 32.36% of Company’s issued share capital.
    • FMG Special Opportunity Fund which holds 2,970,000 shares representing 0.33% of Company’s issued share capital.

 

  1. Gartmore Investment Limited has increased its shareholding in Osmetech from 74,047,430 to 166,446,397 shares, representing 18.67% of the Company’s issued share capital.

  1. Polar Capital Healthcare Opportunities Fund has increased its shareholding in Osmetech from 24,800,660 to 66,951,936 shares, representing 7.51% of the Company’s issued share capital.

 

The total number of issued ordinary 0.1p shares is 891,607,157. Osmetech does not hold any ordinary shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Osmetech is 891,607,157.
