Disclosure of Significant Shareholdings

Osmetech plc ("Osmetech" or "the Company") was notified on 2 June 2009 that Gartmore Investment Ltd (GIL) and Gartmore Fund Managers Limited (GFM) have increased their total interest in Osmetech.

The total holding of 189,298,177 Ordinary 0.1p shares comprises the aggregated holdings controlled by GIL and GFM and represents approximately 21.231 per cent of the Company's issued ordinary share capital (891,607,157).
