Osmetech plc (OMH.L) is pleased to announce that Jon Faiz Kayyem, PhD, founder of the Company's core molecular diagnostics business and a member of the Board, with effect from 28 August has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on a full-time basis until the search for a new CEO has been completed. Dr Kayyem had previously served as Joint interim Chief Executive with Chris Gleeson. Dr Kayyem, who resides in Pasadena, California where the Osmetech Molecular Diagnostics business is based, will work closely with Board Chairman Chris Gleeson on key operational initiatives around menu expansion and placements of the Company's flagship XT-8 system for multiplexed molecular diagnostic testing.
