Osmetech PLC (“Osmetech” or “the Company”) (AIM:OMH) announces that it was notified on 23 December 2009 of the following changes in shareholdings of ordinary 0.1p shares pursuant to the placing at 2.05p per share  announced on 21 December 2009 (the “December Placing”):

 

            1. Efficacy Capital Limited (‘Efficacy’) purchased 7,356,652 shares in the Company in the December Placing increasing its total interest in Osmetech to 314,556,701 shares representing 19.26% of the current issued share capital..

 

            2. Gartmore Investment Limited purchased 73,566,520 shares in the December Placing its total shareholding in Osmetech is now 304,580,846 shares, representing approximately 18.65% of the Company’s issued share capital.

 

            3. LaunchEquity Acquisition Partners LLC, designated series Development Partners purchased 58,853,216 shares in the December Placing and its shareholding in the Company is now 58,853,216 shares representing approximately 3.60% of the Company’s issued share capital.

 

            4. Schroders plc’s total interest in Osmetech remains unchanged at 142,974,873 shares which, following the placing, represents 8.75% of the company.

 

            5. Jeffrey Taylor’s total interest in Osmetech remains unchanged at 55,819,243 shares which, following the placing, represents 3.42% of the company.

 

The total number of issued ordinary 0.1p shares is 1,633,443,351. Osmetech does not hold any ordinary shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Osmetech is 1,633,443,351.
